2010-11 Jaguar XJ recalled for airbag fix

Jaguar has issued a recall for its 2010 and 2011 model-year XJ sedans over concerns the front airbags could deploy with too much force.

The British marque reports that the inflator parameters may have been over set. If the condition occurs, this could pose an increased risk of injury to the vehicle’s occupants.

Affected XJ models fall between the VIN range SAJAC12P5ALV00006 to SAJYA16E5BMV12021.

Owners of the recalled XJ sedans will be contacted by Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Australia, and will be advised to contact their local dealer who will update the Restraint Control Module (RCM) with the latest software.
