The limited-edition Lotus Evora GT430 has been revealed, and is said to be the company’s most powerful road-going car yet.

As its name suggests, the Evora GT430 features a retuned 3.5-litre supercharged V6 developing 321kW of power or 430 horsepower. In addition to this, torque has been upped to 440Nm.

Drive goes to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual and a Torsen-style limited differential. The GT430 can reportedly complete the 0-100km/h standard in 3.8 seconds, and hit a top speed of 305km/h.

By way of comparison, the Evora Sport 410 has 306kW/410Nm at its disposal, and can do the 0-100km/h sprint in 4.2 seconds.

The car rides on 19-inch forged alloy wheels at the front, and 20-inch rims at the rear. The front wheels are fitted with 245/35 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, while the rear wheels feature 295/30 rubber.

Stopping power comes courtesy of a revised braking setup with four-piston AP Racing callipers up front.

Being a special edition from Lotus, the Evora GT430 benefits from a some time in the gym, with its dry weight said to be 1258kg, down down 26kg from the Evora Sport 410.

Weight saving measures include a 10kg lighter titanium exhaust, lightweight Eibach springs, a thinner under tray, and carbon door sills and instrument binnacle.

Lotus has also reworked the Evora’s aerodynamics with a carbon-fibre front splitter, enlarged and reshaped front air intakes, louvres above the front wheels, new ducts behind both sets of wheels, and a large carbon-fibre rear wing.

The options list includes carbon-fibre backed Sparco seats, four-point harnesses, and a touchscreen infotainment system.

Australia

The order books are now open for the two-seat only Evora GT430.

Simply Sports Cars, Lotus’ Australian importer, says: “No confirmed details for Australia as yet. With just 60 being built they will go quickly.”
