The Ford Everest Titanium now offers the option of a smaller 18-inch wheel and tyre package for those who want all the features and technology of the flagship variant with the full off-road ability of lower-spec versions.

Available at no extra cost, the 18 by 8.0-inch wheels have increased tyre sidewall compared to the standard 20-inch wheels, and the package also includes a full-size alloy spare wheel.

The package also includes suspension revisions and driver assistance technology re-calibrations to suit the changes in wheel fitment.

“It has changes to the suspension as well as ESC calibration,” Ford product communications manager told CarAdvice. “So you can’t bolt on the wheels for the same result – this is a thorough execution.”

Specifications otherwise remain unchanged, with the Everest Titanium coming equipped with a panoramic sunroof, leather-accented seats and tyre pressure monitoring over its lesser siblings.

Other feature highlights include an 800mm wading rating, 3000kg towing capacity, Ford’s Terrain Management System, an 8.0-inch Sync 3 touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear-view camera, and seven seats.

Pricing has been slightly lowered for the Titanium model, too, now listed at $74,701 before on-road costs – $289 less than when the 2017 upgrades for the Everest range were announced in April.
