Okay, this video has us baffled! It’s not every day you see a perfectly good ute take a dip in the ocean!
At the very beginning of the clip, we hear the camera operator mention “hey that guy tied a rope to the back of his car?”, followed by the camera panning to the incident in question.
Seconds later, as the ferry pulls away from the dock, we see the rope tighten and tug the Mazda into the deep blue. Does it float? Not for long!
Suspiciously, as the ferry starts to move, the man standing near the white utility is seen to walk away, and doesn’t appear to flinch at all as the vehicle rolls backwards.
At this stage we can only guess as to the motivations at play here, whether it be a case of insurance fraud, or simply carelessness… At any rate, someone is going to be in big trouble.
