Honda offering seven-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty until December 31

Honda is offering a free upgrade to a seven-year, unlimited kilometre warranty across selected models until December 31.

The Japanese manufacturer only recently announced its standard five-year/unlimited kilometre factory warranty, though this latest promotion – launched in early November – takes it one step further to match current industry leader, Kia.

Models in the campaign include the Accord, City, Civic, HR-V, Jazz, and Odyssey. Interestingly, the new 2018 CR-V isn’t covered by the promotional warranty – though it’s available as an extra cost extended warranty.

It’s a similar move to Holden, which is currently offering a seven year, 175,000km program across its range until the end of the year – and has been since the beginning of October.

Several Honda models are also being promoted with seven years of roadside assistance and special drive-away pricing as part of the 2017 Honda Annual Event.

The Jazz VTi manual is currently advertised at $15,990 drive-away with the seven-year warranty with seven years of roadside assist, along with a no-deposit offer finance scheme and no repayments for three months.

Meanwhile, Civic VTi (hatch and sedan) and HR-V VTi are also being offered with the same extras, starting at $24,990 drive-away and $26,990 drive-away respectively.

Honda’s promotional warranties and sales specials are available on select new and ex-demo vehicles purchased between November 1 and December 31, and delivered before December 31.

Vehicles used for commercial purposes get a seven-year/200,000km instead of the unlimited kilometre program.

This announcement comes as French manufacturer Citroen discontinued its six-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty, reverting to the previous three-year/unlimited-kilometre factory coverage.
