2017 is almost over. It’s time for Christmas parties, sunshine and rose-tinted reflection on the year gone by. But here at CarAdvice, we aren’t taking our foot off the pedal just yet – instead, we’re taking the chance to look back at some of the most popular videos published this year.

5. The world’s best off roader? Iveco Daily 4×4

There are run-of-the-mill off-roaders like the Toyota LandCruiser and Land Rover Discovery, then there are full-blown ‘almost a tank’ off-roaders like the Iveco Daily 4×4.

It’s about as capable off the tarmac as it is eye-catching, particularly in the army camouflage livery of our tester.

It’s been said time and time again, but the Toyota HiLux is Australia’s new favourite car.

The sales charts prove it, as does the fact that the Japanese ute features in three of our top five videos this year.

3. 2017 Dual-cab ute Mega Test

Not only was this year’s dual-cab ute Mega Test our most popular comparison for 2017, it made the top five videos as well.

We assembled six diesel-powered dual-cabs priced around the $50,000 mark.

2. Suzuki Ignis review

This year was full of surprises, and the Suzuki Ignis was one of them.

It’s cute as a button, and a great urban runabout for not a lot of cash.

Add the fact our launch review was the second most popular video for the year, and the little Suzuki has scored a hat trick.

It’s been said time and… just kidding.

How fitting, the country’s most popular vehicle also is the subject of CarAdvice’s most popular video for 2017?

In this clip, we take a look at the top-spec HiLux TRD, which gets an array of sporty-themed enhancements inside and out – it’s no supercharged performance truck, though.
