Jaguar Land Rover recalls several models for digital instrument fix

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has issued a recall for the F-Pace, XE, XF, XJ, Range Rover and Range Rover Sport lines over concerns the virtual instrument cluster could go blank when in use.

The British marque says affected models fitted with the virtual instrument cluster could see the display go blank intermittently and/or reset while driving.

Should the display malfunction for extended periods while driving, it could increase the risk of a collision as it isn’t displaying important information like vehicle speed.

Affected Jaguar vehicles come from 2016-2018 model years, while Range Rover units included in the notice are 2017 model year.

Number of units and VIN ranges by model line are as follows:

Owners of the affected units will be contacted by JLR Australia, and requested to arrange an appointment with their local dealer – who will update the software in the instrument cluster module.
