Kia K900 interior snapped ahead of potential New York reveal

Kia is yet to officially set a reveal date for its second-generation K900 (Quoris) sedan, but the car’s cabin has already been snapped by keen fans on a Korean forum.

The image reveals a freestanding, Stinger-style infotainment sitting above a horizontal row of buttons and, unlike the Stinger, rectangular air vents. A rotary infotainment controller sits behind the stubby gear-lever, while the centre console and dash are trimmed in dark wood.

Reports have suggested the next-generation Korean flagship could be revealed at the New York motor show in March, but Kia hasn’t confirmed official timing for the reveal.

We’re also yet to sight a concept or teaser for the car, which is currently limited to the US and Korean markets. The current model has been on sale since 2012, and shares its bones with the Hyundai Genesis/Genesis G80 and Hyundai Equus/Genesis G90.

Although the Stinger has garnered headlines for bringing rear-wheel drive to local Kia showrooms, the K900 was actually the brand’s first rear-driven model when it launched.

It’s currently offered with a choice of V6 or V8 engine, but no choice of right-hand drive, meaning it has stayed out-of-reach for Kia Australia.

There’s no word on whether the new K900 will be offered in right-hand drive – we’ll have to wait for New York to hear about that, unfortunately.
