2017 Honda HR-V Limited Edition unveiled

There’s a new value-focused 2017 Honda HR-V Limited Edition variant in the model range, with the re-added VTi-based model packing in a few extras.

In a similar move to one made last year for the Honda HR-V, the brand’s Australian arm says it has added $3600 of extra value to the Limited Edition specification, but at a cost of just $1425 over the regular VTi – as such, the new Limited Edition version has a drive-away price of $28,990.

 

The changes to the new HR-V LE model over the VTi are as follows:

• 17-inch alloy wheels (VTi has 16s)
• Rear parking sensors (complementing the standard rear-view camera)
• Side steps
• Smart keyless entry
• Push button start
• Roof rails

“Honda’s limited edition models have proven to be a popular addition to our regular offers, particularly for customers who are cross-shopping against other brands and looking for a great deal,” said Honda Australia director, Stephen Collins.

The HR-V Limited Edition is available in four exterior colours: Morpho Blue and White Orchid (both pearlescent), and Lunar Silver and Modern Steel (both metallic).

Honda recently announced satellite navigation will be added to all HR-V models, but at the cost of the handy LaneWatch side camera system. The brand’s small SUV still lacks the latest in-car smartphone mirroring tech, despite other models in the range – like the recently launched Civic Hatch – having that.

Honda is faring well in the small SUV segment, with year-to-date sales showing the HR-V running in fourth position (4761 sales to the end of May) behind the Mazda CX-3 (7292 sales), Mitsubishi ASX (6792 units) and Nissan Qashqai (4963 units).
